Any desi/pakistani/ hikamt/totka on how to improve (very little) weak eyesight?

My eyesight is a little weak .50........how can i improve it?Going for airforce....

Eye exercises can help you greatly, I can tell you for sure.

Apart from this, there are some desi totkay, but I can't guarantee their effectiveness. These are just tips I've heard from elders.
- Eating 5 peeled almonds every morning.
- Eating a mixture of fennel (Sonf) and crystallized sugar (Misri)
- Eating carrots (This just helps maintain good vision, not necessarily improve it).
- Including full fat milk and dried fruit in your diet.

And on general terms (you might already know all this), but try avoiding too much telly. Don't read in dim light either.

@Zainab: Precisely what part of the nuskha have you been trying since a long time? :p If it's something other than eye exercises, I've already said I can't guarantee anything :(

Exercises didn't help either? They do, waisay.
I can't say much about the rest :P But almonds and carrots do HELP maintain a good vision if not make it better.

Apart from what Sana has mentioned, you have to work on your diet chart, for example..

Eat alot of Fish, as it has Vitamin D that helps improving eye sight or fish oil are capsules available, they are bad in taste (have been taking them) but its worth.
Add Cucumber, Apple,carrot and spanish to your daily deit, actually the greens and reds vegetable/fruits in your diet. that wud help inshAllah
And try this basic and simple steps, I do them daily

Well, didnt get my eyesight checked after that but when I use computer for long hours, i get this weird pain in my eyes and forehaed and these exercises has been helpful there. You should also try them :)

I think all these things will take time. If its really urgent that you can go for laser eye operation, its happening commonly nowadays. Many people I know got their vision corrected by it and there were no complications but yea I am still not totally sure about it. Just an option to consider :)

Laser surgery is an option but it has a lot of side effects including worst night vision.By this method a person becomes permanently unfit for armed forces.Medical boards have a lot of ways to check it :(

Dont go for laser surgery unless it is recommended by your doctor :)

@shahid yes there are side affects. What i am saying is that all the cases i have seen in my friends and relatives were successful Alhumdulilah but still its better to take doctor's recommendation first

Ive been the guy behind the glasses for 10 years now. I wish anything could help. Apparently the laser surgery helps but it has some risks involved. But I prefer wearing glasses. So if you ask me i dunno if anything can improve it but wearing glasses regularly definitely helps saving your eyesight from further deterioration

But I see you've mentioned that you think there are 'risks' involved with laser eye surgery. What risks have you heard about?

I dunno about that but i really dont feel any trouble wearing glasses. Yeah I've heard some risks. Here are a few
1. Over-correction or under-correction
2. May still need glasses or contacts after surgery
3. Results may not be permanent
4. Visual aberrations
5. Dry eye may worsen
6. May lose vision

As far as I know eye surgery to improve the vision is not likable by most of the doctors and one shud never have it without doctors recommendation.

Yep, I wud have to agree here as mine is a different case but then what exactly weaken the eyesight normally ? Like if it gets weaken after the developing period.
Btw Eating carrots (basically Vitamin A) does help to improve the version

This is just an idea I've had for a long time but I never got anyone to experiment it: being short-sighted may mean that your lens has deformed to a larger thickness-to-radius ratio so its focal length has reduced. If you try to focus at distant objects, your lens will try to increase its focal length probably by reducing that thickness-to-radius ratio. Doing this consistently may even lead to a slight permanent deformation nearer to your lens' original shape. For long-sighted people, the opposite should work -- trying to focus on near objects. If, however, it is your retina that has deformed, I don't think this technique will work for you.

em also having eyesight problem from my experiences wana tell to you to control it...wear the glasses most of the tym and avoid the use of t.v,p.c and take proper sleep..and eat carrots ,mixtures of grind almond,fennel and sugar wid a glass of milk

Try To Avoid Watching TV, COMPUTER MONITOR, Wash Your Eyes 5-10 times Daily with normal water, Wear Optics , Optics will control your eye side , :D n Enjoy!
