Hey, thanks! Nice pictures. I see her mainly taking portraits and that too, I assume, before the actual ceremony and not necessarily during the main function itself. But yes, I could ask her :)

I am not quite sure if I will make it to Pakistan this summer and then again to Lahore, but I certainly like her work! Since here, I was asked to become a wedding photographer by my friends, I was wondering how things are like in Pakistan. :)

Nida Ahmed Photography is doing exceptionally well when it comes to wedding photography in lahore or surrounding areas. She is famous for her outdoor bridal couple photo-shoots at Badshahi Mosque, Lawrence Garden etc..

Possibly because it is considered here as more of a Technical job than an Artist's job.

Believe me, one does not need to know that much about the technical stuff in order to take good pictures. However, yes it is both technical stuff and art involved in it and as much as I know, even females there study subjects like Engineering etc.
I wonder if this idea ever occurred to any female photographer and whether it is the social pressure/norms that hinders female to act as a professional wedding photographer.

I personally consider its more of an Artist's job.
Regarding Technical stuff, females here do peruse subjects like Engg. etc. BUT how many of them actually practice.
The fact is you will find very very few females where it comes to practicing in a technical job.
