Another of Zardari's cunning moves to satisfy people over atleast something. We can never guess what he's upto until he makes his final move, so i won't jump to conclusions and say its a good decision. I'd rather wait and see what happens when the dust settles.

She's is the one perfect choice for this post; Sherry Rehman is an experienced legislator, activist and prior two her political career was a successful editor of a monthly magazine… tabled several progressive law drafts as a parliamentarian; champion of a free press, women’s rights and freedom of information… most recently set up a think tank Jinnah Institute which has raised voice for minorities and campaigns against extremism in Pakistan.
A pragmatic democrat works through dialogue, consensus and negotiation. And most of all I'm happy She's no Mullah, bureaucrat or a General; She's a politician with good human rights record!

i think its a nice move. she seems to be one of the few sane people in the team of current legislators. did you know that officially she is the wealthiest MNA from sindh (which ofcourse in reality she isnt). The reason, in her own words, is that she has declared her assets even if its the motorcycle sitting idle in the house. i became a fan when she resigned amidst the blockage of media during the lawyers movement. what i dont understand is, why are people like her (e.g. aitezaz ehsan) with zardari! doesnt make sense.

She did a fine job as information minister and even openly defied Asif Zardari before getting forced to resignation.So her selection again from Asif Zardari looks fishy to me,but let's see where the things lead now.
