What to do in the case of fire?

This is a very vast topic. for starters if you are indoors and cant get out you must lie down (to avoid inhaling smoke) and wait for help. if there is a little fire you can put it out using a cloth, water or sand. Avoid catching it. if you cant put it out and can get out, must get out and call for help. Help minors get out. if the building is made out of wood take shelter under the doors or some place where something cant fall on top of you. Use emergency exits (if any) or windows etc if possible to get out.

i'd add a few things, i am pretty sure people will give detailed answers, here are the things which i think they might miss on.
if its electrcal or hydrocarbon in origin... DONT USE WATER!, in the former case it will shorcircuit stuff and is you might get shock too while in the latter case it may spread the oil coz it floats on water.
in order to get out, wet blankets are awesome.

Oh I know everything about this topic as my dad's business is of fire safety. Well, if the fire alarm rings check that why it rung. If you see smoke, do not panic, just crawl when there is smoke. If there is a fire extinguisher near you then quickly use it to extinguish the fire. Call the fire truck incase of severe emergency. If there is fire in a room and someone is stuck and can't come out. Put a fire blanket outside so that the person can jump from the window or fire exit and fall on the fire blanket. Just run outside where everyone is. Do not walk. Roll if you are on fire. Do not use normal water to extinguish the fire. Better use the fire extinguisher to extinguish the fire. Always know the number emergency. For people in lahore it is 1122 and its firetruck is made in my dad's company. If you need to buy fire extinguishers just ask me, I will tell about it.
