Are there any special holidays in Pakistan for Ramadan?

Sumi | 13 years ago

Or generally, are there any particular changes (office/school timings, holidays, etc.) in Pakistan during Ramadan?

(Also wondering, how you guys celebrate Ramadan...)

:) I do get your point. I guess, the only thing why one could change timings is because one would like to use that time for Ibadat (it won't be a waste then, inshaAllah) :)

well, i disagree... There should be changes in school, colleges nd offices timings in Ramadan nd we do have them here... Coz ramadan is nt for playing nd working throughout ur 'roza'... We are supposed to do 'ibadat' as well or what I should say 'extra ibadat'... Coz this is the month of blessings... And Allah bless us with 70 darjaat more of hasnaas for every single salaah bajamaat...

You're right! Loadshedding is really more problematic than any other thing else...

I think, in the end, we fast for Allah and we all need to deal with different circumstances and Allah will reward us accordingly - He knows best. Ramadan is a sacred month and yes, holidays could be set in such a manner that children can benefit from it, but then again - how many would use that opportunity for extra Ibadat? - That, only Allah knows. However, what one could also do is dedicate this month to Ramadan and teach children things accordingly. I suppose, that this might benefit them more than holidays.

You're right but I think they shud hav given some holidays, like here normally, we have the ashara off from school.
