How do you celebrate Eid-al-fitr in Pakistan?

How does your typical Eid look like?
I'm also interested in knowing the cultural specific differences: food, dress code etc.

Aww. Hey, Eid Mubarak. How are you feeling now? Well, sadly not much different here as you don't get a day off and even if I had a day off, most of my friends go to Turkey and otherwise I don't have Muslim friends :( ---so more or less normal routine.

eid mubarak... m feeling good. its an on and off affair and has been for past two months :/... anyhow.. for me it was the same.. due to the condition i missed much of the fun. interstingly, i am always in top notch shape in the evening during volleyball game :P

I used to celebrate Eid with full enthusiasm in Karachi but ever since we have shifted in Islamabad and abu is not with us, our eid has got dull. We do wear shalwar kameez and make sawaiyan etc but it is boring. After coming from eid namaz and meeting few relatives, we get down and sleep :( and yaaaaa we also get EIDI which has always been my favorite part of Eid-al-fitr :D

Eidi part :p Oh, I can totally understand - it is not the same if your whole family is not there with you. I think, meeting relatives is good in the sense as you get time to see each other again. I am assuming that otherwise it does get difficult to as you have your own routine and hectic life. :)

Its kinda, traditional. We go to our Grandparent's back in hometown. Its a big family house, even though my grandparents are long dead (RIP), still we gather there twice every year from everywhere. Its fun, all the 'ronaq-mela';) And there's Eidii too.
Food's traditional with all the 'sheer-khurma' and stuff, which I have never been able to eat.:D And traditional dresses too Shalwar Kameez etc.

Eid - a religious and an exciting event of Muslims. I use to experience this special event like... ; well it has been said eid is only for kids specifically. As distributing eidi to kids and asking for more and more seems like all apart to make fun together only for them. Its certainly not like that, not only kids but teen agers, elders and olders, this event has been fun a part when roaming around, get together of friends and family relatives. Hangouts more over to have some extra chill. Eid with sweet dishes all are a part of this event to make it more delicious you can say. Especially, the night before eid day, is an exciting and add on to make this event more enjoyable. Especially, finding some one closer to went out for some shopping before making extra reasons :P

I go to my village on every Eid and celebrate it with my cousins.After offering prayer,we visit the graves our late grandparents,followed by Eidi collection(:D) and food.In the evening,we go out.

The day starts with eating something sweet, usually saiwyaan. Then we go out for Eid Namaz. When we return we have breakfast and some more food. The other days are spent with relatives or in front of the TV :P Or sometimes by going to the northern areas.
