Do you agree that people have shifted their Professional contacts from Facebook to Linked In as Facebook is more personal level network while LinkedIn is a better forum for professional networking????

Yes I agree with sumi and Aaquib. LinkedIn is known for professional network worldwide but unfortunately, many Pakistanis are still using Facebook to manage both professional and personal contacts.

Friends, I believe you should maintain your profile in Linked In but it is not going to serve as the one size fits all solution that FB offers. In my view FB will be used for professional networking going forward, so get rid of all the party and drug abuse pictures. HR people like me screen what people post on FB :-).

Thats my point!
People don't want your boss or HR personnel to intrude on your personal life (party & Drug abuse pics etc.) that is why I haven't added my boss or prof. contacts on FB ....

It gives a sense of liberty on FB to be what you are and not what you want to present ...

My point is you stay casual at home or with friends ... You dont want to be that way in office or meetings. Same goes for social networking ...

Linked In is generally used for professional reasons, whereas Facebook can have any kind of contacts. I personally do not like to miss my personal with my "professional" contacts.
