Do you know any good institute in Karachi to learn programing languges ?

I'm kind of a newbie to computer science , doing my bachelor's (classes are not started yet) so i want to learn programming languages , as i'm a beginner i just started learning python but i want a teacher who can guide/teach me well , is there any institute that you know about in Karachi which should has some standard , i've heard about Aptech but i think they offer only diploma courses , but i want to have a short course so let me know about any institute you know. Couple of people told me that its not worth studying programming languages at any institute its just a waste of time and money both, better buy books and learn by yourself , if you think the same then kindly leave your suggestions and also recommend me good books and tell me from which language should i start ? :-)
