Will you like to contribute in Pakistan movie industry after watching movies like 'Khuda kay liye' and 'Bol'?

Just thinking if these two movies changed opinion of Pakistani movies or people still consider it waste of time to work or watch Pakistani movies

They are indeed a big contribution in our Pakistani Film Industry, and I would like to see more such types of movies. I am actually looking forward to watching Bol. They are not only made in good quality but also convey moral lessons as well, which we could not find in other movies.
If such types of movies keep coming, I am sure Pakistani Film Industry will rise again :)

Well see, It is surely a well made movie, I can see it from the promos but Shoaib Manssor has done some great work in the past but yes we wud see it, appreciate it. But Khuda ke liye as well as Bol, both are based on social issues and I guess our Tv media is already doing alot in this manner, We have been making great Tv drama serials from decades on different social issues, People also want to see some light, comedy, romantic movies, hopefully soon we will see them too.
I'm not saying that these movies wont play an important role, they wud, if good movies are made, they are gonna release internationally, which actually helps to portray a softer image of Pakistan.

by "contribute" as in work in movies, well yea, if there are good decent story lines, Like you see we have some fab people working on tv and there are some new faces too, so they wud work if they get to, in decent n well made movies. In fact I know some new actors, they hv done a movie and they are also working on Tv

Contribute as in...: actor, financial support, script writer, etc.? I might sound very narrow-minded, but I personally depending on the script and the roles one is asked to play, would not like to support anyone in TV drama/film industry. Good film requires good acting, where emotions are needed to be expressed - often also by means of physical proximity. As Muslims, how much can you allow yourself and expect from other fellow Muslims? However, I must admit, I like documentaries and might make some if I ever get the opportunity.

Of course, there are many good films without it, but if we are talking about 'flourishing' the film industry, we are somewhere also talking about 'developing and improving' it. Gradual changes, gradual acceptance - paving a way for gradual ignorance.

@"physical proximity": we have alot of that in lollywood and crap movies.
Look at the iranian movies , no skin ,no hair , and great movies.hahahaha. I mean bachaye bahasht(children of heaven) and Close Up , leila etc....I think focusing on content is what can make a movie great : the same reason BOL nad Khuda K liye, Ramchand Pakistani won the hearts and minds of the masses.

Only two films cannot set standard. Shoib mansoor is the person who is good enough in this industry. Talk about only his film. Well i still remember the idiot and crazy movie names of punjabi films which are in power in Pakistan Film Industry. I hate those. I don't even like to say their names.

They'll be contributing to revive the industry but it'll be like a single drop in dried ocean... Having such movies once in 5 years aint doing much ov a help to the cause ...
I would only contribute by watching them...can't think ov more for now.. :)

i think shoaib manzoor is a big name and that takes ppl to the doors of cinema ... if any unknown makes a movie it wont be watched by many ppl ... as ppl will think that it will be typical pakistani movie ... !

See, it wont be easy for a new director to enter and make a movie all of a sudden, there are many talented people who doing a fab job on tv, like Mehreen Jabbar, Jami, Anjum Shahzad, why dun they take a step and make movies? I know its not easy to make one but they can do it if they want.
