How can we improve Pakistan's image? With combined efforts

For starters we need to stop labelling ourselves as "failed", "intolerant". Pakistanis today suffer from a lack of society/collective (self)esteem. Wherever you look you see everyone writing ourselves off. Its my opinion, and a very strong one, that we need be ambassadors of Pakistan in the real sense!

1) Taking Pride in being a Pakistani at all levels.
2) Portraying our Nation as a peaceful and moderate one on the International front.
3) Correcting our own surroundings beginning from ourselves
4) Being fair, honest and truthful in your own frame of reference no matter you are a student, a shopkeeper, a business man or anyone for that matter.
5) Ensuring that merit is upheld in everything that comes under your responsibility, at all levels.
6) Never ever under any circumstances compromise on the solidarity and security of the State and the People.
Most of all most of us have almost forgotten the responsibility that we have to our country being a Pakistani like worrying about the future of our people and stepping up at any possible platform to do anything possible in our capacity.

Stop saying "Pakistan hai yaar yahan tau yehi hota hai" instead, do something about it, dont act like a wuss and dont think you are insignificant.
Like Iqbal said, "Her Fard hai millat kay muqaddar ka Sitara"

Apart from what Usama and Awais suggested, I think, our media needs to be very strong, as you suggested. Because a country's progress or failure is presented to world through media, and as its happening these days, our media is busy in finding the breaking news and busy in their competition with the other competitors/channels, that they have forgotten their foremost duty. :S
There is another suggestion, that although we might not be able to make a TV channel or something like that, but what about making a youtube channel etc, which is specifically for representing Pakistan and promoting its good image. Like, our culture, our talent, our resources, our wonderful way of living, all the beautiful things about our country which world is unaware of, all in one place? Many such videos are already there, but what about assembling them at one place? This will also encourage making of new ones as well.

I agree that media plays a major role in making or destroying image of any country. But what we mostly forget is that opinion of nation also counts. If we ourselves keep talking about only negative aspects of Pakistan as done in our talk shows, then who will believe in positive side. I personally believe that its not just media, but we as a nation also exaggerate on negative points in front of entire world.

I am not Pakistani but I guess in my heart, I am. So, you can throw your critiques at my ignorance of the real magnitude of the Pakistani problem. But, if we were to have a collective effort on something to make a positive image about Pakistan, I think we can make a youth project.

The thing I have in mind is to have a team. We can create a website open to submissions for what they think is beautiful in Pakistan. It can be in any format, but most likely it will be in video or fine art/calligraphy or something.

Then, if you are like serious serious... You can pitch this idea to local schools and educators. They can arrange a short program for this project where you can also showcase the submitted and approved projects from the website. Then forum will ensue and maybe encourage the kids to do the same.

If you got good connections with the literature/art/humanities teachers, you can ask them to make this as a semestral assignment/project.

Then don't do it all at once. Make it one school at a time. You can even do some mural thing on some abandoned infrastructure walls. Or empty street walls. Fill them with messages of hope and greatness.

I know this may sound idealistic but if someone is just brave to start up and determined to follow through, inshaaAllaah, we can stir something.

Enough said already, I just want add one point here, I have a kid at home, I prefer not to talk abt the issues of Pakistan in front of him, for example, light, mehgai or security. If we talk bad about Pakistan in front them, they wud growup with this thought "Pakistan is not a place to live". Remember, Kids are our future. we shud make them think "positive" And I think we shud also stop cursing our country bcz Allah says, "The people gets the leader which they deserve"

Well Guys! I read all the thought provoking Jawabs from all the worthy Jawabians; Everyone was spot on and very clear in his/her thoughts But what if I say that the cause of the letdown of this state is “US” Don’t confuse this with Amreeca Bahadur, I mean We, Me, You and majority of Pakistanis! How can we expect our country to be a better state when at human level we do such vicious deeds; We read hundreds of news where We, People like us do such inhuman things, we burn/slay our women on name of Ghairat, we slaughter people in mobs and enjoy the bereavement of our adversaries, we kill people in name of Islam, we support wrong-doers, we break law, for our benefit we obliterate others and the list goes on and on; : ( Don’t take me wrong I’m not blaming all and sundry but the people who do so belong to this us, they belong to our very own nation!

For the better future of our beloved Pakistan; we need to correct ourselves at individual level; this is how we can un-tag this nation from being called as failed nation or a nation of terrorists! I do apologize if I hurt anyone’s feelings!

Defend yourself for whatever you are as a Pakistani.Stop behaving like dominated juxtaposition and haunted sheep.Self Respect is not a thing that is granted,it is inborn,it is undefiled.On social media,communicate with foreign masses positively,being a student,stay informed of any type of competitions held abroad,at least assure your presence and then let hard work drive.We're doing good in IT sector and other ones too.But what really hurts is,our engineers not all of them flee to European countries,and most of them go for miserable jobs.Here we're depriciated.Raise your standards and better serve your country.

I think media should play a positive role in making of good image. Coz it shows all the negative aspects of the country. Are we so cruel? We should raise our voice against the negatives so that we could take some part in building our country and nation.
