some people are just messed up. or maybe they want to vent their anger, they cant be cured unless presented with a tray full of chilled and freshly cut mangoes or something similar.... but here is where i stand:
this is what i understand about the possible meanings of the word 'positve' here:
1) there is nothing wrong with anything, the negative speaking trolls are freaks.
2) lets not care about the bad things and chant all izz well and all will be well.
or
3) lets identify the problem, quantify it, accept it and realise it, now how can we operate to the fullest under these conditions.
.....................
answer key: 1) is delusional. 2) is a day dreamer 3) is a realist
its one thing being pessimistic, its completely another to be a realist.
the problem with a realist approach is that it is easily labelled as pessimism. while the real motive behind is to identify the problem so that it could be solved. the plain rhetoric and the implication of speaking of only positive things actually discourages from getting down to the root cause of whats befalling us. look around, see the world, see where it stands and where we stand.
as an example: how can i be content and dance with my hectare of wheat harvest when many others have made 8 times more from the same amount of area. in this case my glass is half full, but if it translates to only half my population eating to its full, shall i still remain content and forget the other half?
examples are so many that i can probably write a booklet (if not a book) on the subject. i am already sick and tired of the exaggerated claims and blatant lies from former PTV and the pak studies text book. i want my people to learn with clear mind how the truth is analyzed unadulterated.
