Is there anything like lucky charm? If so than what is your lucky charm?

we humans are pattern seeking machines, if you have ever done face recognition or voice recognition algorithms, you'd know that they are pretty computationally expensive processes but we humans seem to do it on a dime. thats just how we are designed to survive. but every complex functionality has a byproduct and our pattern recognition ability has it too. hence we tend to find patterns in complete noise where there isnt any pattern at all. e.g seeing faces in rough walls and burnt toasts, coming up with words in a rock song when the singer is actually singing something else (we only recognize this mistake when we listen to the song AFTER we check the lyrics on the net). And this is where lucky charm comes in. research has shown that we are prone to associate random events in a cause and effect manner like associating tying shoe laces in a particular manner to good luck etc. i wont call it stupid because we are programmed to fall for it... our ancestors used to track deer and bisons by noticing the direction of their footsteps (no other animal can deduce such a thing), associated position of the stars with direction of heading, found out that putting water in a clay utensil makes it cooler than the surrounding etc..

conclusion: lucky charm is an illusion arising from the pattern seeking brain that makes us human in the first place.

In my opinion, there's no such thing as a lucky charm or a lucky teddy bear or a lucky keychain or a lucky chaddi :/

The only thing that makes you unique is yourself. And you need strong Faith & self confidence for that.

Allah Miyaan say Duaen mango & you'll become lucky forever. Seriously.

I'd say the combination of Hardwork+Prayers is the only lucky charm one can have

I think Muslims should not have a belief on Lucky charm and things like that. These things lead to astray. Prayers (Duaen) to Allah directly, can solve the problems and make us luckier.

I don't believe that things can't make me lucky. My lucky charms will be confidence I get from my Father, support by my loved ones and belief which I have in my own self. Depending on dead things for luck takes away our self confidence and courage. And I am sure you all already know that it is discouraged in our religion.

Lucky charm is an other name of addiction/obsession, it's like a belief.
for example: you always carry/keep A with you as it is very important in your life, you can't do anything without it and it always work for you, To keep A with you gives you confidence, like it's just a state of mind where you have state depending more on something/one then your own self.

It is (sort of) similar to a situation where people say they can't sleep without reading a book/watching something/listening to music..It's just a habit, nothing else.
