Upto how much extent GPA matter after Graduation?

Some students say it's good have GPA more than 3.5 out of 4, while some think 2.5-3.0 range is enough

It matters a lot when you have to apply for admission in masters. Most of the universities require 3+ gpas. In Jobs, command over subject and confidence matters more than gpas.

Well, Generally speaking, everyone is not lucky enough to have such situation. Are there other things beside GPA for a Good Job? like I've heard most companies' criteria is final year projects etc.

Well! I have taken around three or four interviews and no one actually asked me about the GPA; in IT industry, Skills are more important than GPA like things; For others I can't say much!

If you're related to the IT field, which is pretty much includes the engineering and computer sciences. Then all you need is the level of skill. Now getting more CGPA sometimes also means that you have gained some extra knowledge in your course. But this also varies from university to university. If you have a 3.9 CGPA in CS and can't tell the difference between Windows and Linux then you're of no use in the field.

According to me, it only matters when you are going for your further studies. Doesn't matter in getting a job mostly. I haven't been asked my CGPA in an interview ever. Plus, it also depends on what you are studying. As per the law is concerned, skills matter more for a lawyer when compared to a CGPA.

It depends on the course and the uni actually, as far as I know, You seem to be asking about engineering, Hmm not sure.. 3.0 I guess ? one of my engineer friend just passed out wid 2.7 GPA and when I said "itna low?" he replied, "engineering me, It's pretty fine" LOL

hmm thanx !!! yeah, name of uni also matters.. I've heard many a times that students wid GPA 2.5-3.0 find better jobs than students wid better GPA.. So, i guess it is the LUCK which actually matters !!!

GPA matters to get your first job because company filters the CV and prefers candidate with higher GPA.
After that YOU counts, how you grow professionally. After your first job whenever you apply for Job they evaluate on your professional experience and ability to work.
