Ways to learn English by your ownself ??

best way is to start talking English with friends and family ... and learn small small things everyday ... add new words everyday and try to speak them in your sentences ... !

The best thing is reading and practicing with friends/family. If you read books then you will never get short of words and will learn many new words too, then practice it with your those who you are comfortable with. Other than that you should watch movies and series then it will be like fun with learning :D

Start talking in English with your friends/teachers/family. It might seem awkward at first, but trust me, it's a tried and tested method to improve your grammar and fluency at spoken English. That's how I helped a friend of mine make her spoken English better for IELTS and it worked!

Also, learn a new word everyday. Preferably a simple one that isn't too mind boggling, and one that you can find in regular articles/writings. Understand the way it has to be used in a sentence, and try using it in your written/spoken English. Some examples of such regular yet strong words are: verdict, jeopardize, eccentric, tentative, and many more.

Also, read! Read, read, and read loads! Read good books, read the newspaper, read the translation of the Holy Quran, read as much quality material you can find (and that doesn't include goosebumps and works of R.L. Stine, lol). Reading will greatly help you improve your written English.

To improve your english skills ,you should interact with people whom english you think is better than yours,watching english subtitle movies,reading novels,books,newspapers and than youtube for speaking it well..:)

The Easy Way is to watch english movies with subtitles. Definitely you will improve a lot...

As you said you have base so Listening wud help you improve your vocabulary as well as the pronunciation/ the accent, good luck : )

Watching English Movies with English subtitles is the best practice and be a dictionary fellow all the time!

Read books. Read the news and keep a dictionary handy. Try to improve your vocabulary and grammar.

Often, people tend to translate literally from Urdu to English to make a sentence. Just remember that is not the best way to speak a language. You can't always translate verbatim from one language to another and make sense at the same time.

Learn a new word every day and try to use it in a sentence. www.dictionary.com has a word of the day feature. Try that!

At the end, try to speak English with others. But don't try to copy a western accent first! Make sure what you say makes sense first!
