Hey, tell me Nabeha: Why do you think that getting admission in UK is extremely easy? I am curious to know what made you think that way. I had this feeling that admission anywhere could be easy - it merely depends on the kind of universities you are applying to and what they are known for. If you have what they are looking for you are in, otherwise even good grades don't always matter. At least, I've been told that apart from the 'money-making business', it's the candidate whole profile which matters (not necessarily even grades).

As for Canada, the only thing I know is that good unis there have their deadline in Jan already (even though the course itself might start in Sept): McGill (personally, my fav.), Tronto, York and Queens.

I said that because my two friends applied in UK in LSE and they got admission easily without even giving the final transcript. And then I went to education expo for scholarship thing and University of Birmingham offered me 75% scholarship on tuition fees on the spot just my looking at my CGPA which surprised me. This is why I think that securing admission in UK is more easy than USA and Canada.

Well no doubt, LSE is a good uni - but then again, it depends on the subject you apply for even there. As for final transcript, as much I know if you are applying during your studies, final transcript cannot be given anyway. However, you need to show your degree before being able to join the course if you have been offered a place.

Hmm, that scholarship story is interesting for sure! I also know of uni in UK which did not require any language certificate or any reference letters from me and accepted me straight away. That is why my question: it depends on the course a uni is known for and the uni itself.

Anyways, if it is easier to get in UK - then no harm in that, I suppose?! But, I just try to be careful with generalizations. It could be that someone with extremely good grades and overall good CV did not get accepted, whereas someone else with comparatively less good grades etc. got lucky enough to join the course. :)

Yes you are right .. It depends on subjects too but overall if you have enough money and below average grades, then getting admission in UK is comparatively easy.
