I think they both are equally "important" in life but educations comes first, as education gives you knowledge, that teaches you skills, and brings the creativity outta you.
Islam also has encouraged education and learning to a great extent, In numerous qur'anic verses as well as the Prophet's teachings and traditions, For me it's education that's more important, you can have a god gifted talent/skill but learning and knowledge can enhance it.

I agree with zainab that combination of both is necessary to excel but most important out of them is skill and passion to make a difference. We all know that there are many successful personalities who were college drop outs like Walt Disney etc

BOTH IMPORTANT :) but v Never can sy Education / Skill are equal.
Educations have own Importance same Skill having own importance. Luck is also involve trust me. Like we can c Jeweler ect..

For having a perfect skill, you need to be get educated first. And that education, can be get from anyone. There's a quote of Hazrat Ali (R.A.) that who ever teaches you one word; is your teacher. Indirectly, you are being educated first to get over the particular skill. This ultimately means, education comes first.

i think now a days skills matter a lot if you have education knowledge but you dont have skills then you did not carry out the job

Both are necessary. A good educational background helps you to develop soft skills too. e.g communication skills are polished when a student gives presentations in the class. So are many other skills. If you are talking about technical skills then again I would say to focus on studies too.
