Well, I am talking about 'clubbing/partying' and all those others things which a non-Pakistani won't expect in Pakistan. Makes more sense? :)

Actually Karachi is a city like Mix Plate Chat, you can find underground parties and hidden night clubs in the area of Defence, Clifton and in some other territories (mostly in cantonment areas) but Religious Awareness is much more strong here, mostly people of Karachi don't like night parties, clubbing etc instead of this they like cultural & social events & activities like Mushairas, Mehfil-e-Milad, Books Exhibition, Tech Exhibitions etc., Clubbing etc is just activity of 2% of Karachi Residents which are called Burgers. Yeah people here are more advance then any other city of South East Asia but in manner of culture and etiquettes not in clubbing like activities.

Yup, I meant those underground parties. People seem to know about them, but still not talk about them (which of course I understand).

There is not as such a night life in Karachi ... everything gets close after 12 or so ... !
even its not safe to roam around now a days like that ... !

"Night Life" as in clubbing and partying? if yes then I dun knw but apart from that I love khi because it's alive 24/7 I remember going out [with family] @ 12am and having ice cream and fun =D For me khi is like second jeddah lol

Yup - both. Whenever I go to Karachi people say that I have no idea how advanced people are there ..so somehow my question is somewhat in that direction. :)

Guess what, I have "heard" the same but it depends not all the ppl are like that as u know we dun really find clubbing and partying a good thing still in many families, But they are ppl who are much advance not only in Khi but in other cities also. I had some friends who works in media [TV/ Drama] It's very common for them.
Security issue to hayn but life and its fun still exists : ) I told you sumi, U need to visit pak soon. Things arent the same like u see on news channels. When did u visited pk last time? which year?

:) hehe. well, Zainab, believe it or not, I visit PK almost every year, but it's always a short visit (basically just to say hi hello and bye). So, I am kind of curious to know what this other side of Khi is of which I don't know the details, but at least know that it exists. :D

I know about Lahore that visit the city and you will find young generation wandering around the markets having fun with their pals. Shopping freak people are more you will find. There are dance parties in clubs arranged by famous brands like StoneAge Jeans. And and and more more more.... :D

So this is your problem but in fact it is not good that you don't have Paki friends. :D

Well i also don't like to go for dance but i love to shop brands in clothing. :)

lolz. well I guess it is or perhaps my purpose of going to Khi is just to visit my few relatives there, so everything else seems to be secondary then. As for brands - lolz, seriously, I've seen people becoming so brand conscious that I out of protest don't like to wear brands :D but if it makes you happy, why not? It's all about quality and style for me and brands don't matter.

Well there are all kinds of gathering you can find in Karachi ... depends on you .... Point is you have options .... So its up to you ... Some people goto parties, some just hang out with friends, some shop, some goto dinner with families ... I mean the city offers wherever you want to go ... you wont find places closed at 12 here ...

I personally prefer either hanging out with friends on normal cafes etc or dining somewhere with family and occasionally goto some concert or plays etc for fun ...
