Where you want to go after graduation? Job or your own business?

Well we are being told a lot about Entrepreneurship these days. You will find motivational speakers everywhere telling you the success stories etc. What they don't mention are the majority failures. My point is you have to be very REALISTIC before jumping to some decision of investing in xyz business.

My experience says that Own business should always be the ultimate goal BUT you should start with a job, gain experience, explore yourself and "explore the market", develop skills, save money etc. After that you should start a business and always start with a win win business not a risky one. Also a detailed (i mean really really detailed) business model is a must.

Jumping into some business risking your father's money can never be advised, unless ofcourse your family background allows you to.

Well it does depend which field you are in. It is difficult to imagine that a medical student starts a business straight away after his/her first degree. (Possibility is there that some might just do it depending on the (re)sources available to that particular person etc.)

Jobs are considered less riskier than business. Small-scale business is hardly ever appreciated or seen as a good source of income. Thus, to some extent it has to do with security. However, people tend to forget that it all comes from above, Allah is the Provider and if He is with you, you can easily do job/business and be really good at it.

My personal inclination is towards business and it is something I always have in the back of my mind. Basically, depending on how much work-load one is able to take and how much of one's life one is willing to dedicate to one's profession and family, one could have a proper job and still work on a business plan side-by-side. It might take a bit longer, but well 'good things are not always easy to achieve'. :)

Business is way better than Job. Your thoughts are restricted!

I think Job because I will need to know about market. Once I know I will gain some experience then I will think about doing some business. This should be the proper way of doing things

Job because i can get to know more people which makes life more fun :D

JOB ! but unfortunately the country I'm living in duzn has much for graphic designers, specially for the females, but I hope it get betta till I finish my grad.

Job for a normal class student who want to support the family or do saving
and Business for those who have backup for themselves ... !

I opted for business as it has freedom as compare to job, yeah i paid too much for this choice but i am happy with my life and if you know "Job" is the new name of Slavery in modern era.

Always think as a Admin not a worker. Do job but just for exprerience. If ur job is govt. Job than fine.

job after gaining market knowledge and experience then i will start my own business.

I think JOB is the best IDEA soon after graduation...!
