Which one should i choose BCS or Software Engineering , and which university is good for that in Pakistan?

Well,as far as choice between BCS or software engineering is concerned,it entirely depends on you.You should choose software eng. only if you think you can find interest in programming.Otherwise,BCS is better.For software eng.,FAST will be best followed by NUST.And for BCS,NUST and GIKI will be better.Good luck!

Thanx dude , but which one has a better scope , an Indian told me that they both are same...n which one is the most demanding?? i wanna be a programmer actually , i'll surely apply for FAST in January , do you think NED is good for this field??

If you wanna be programmer,do software eng. And sorry,I don't have any information about Karachi universities.

thank you so much dud , this information means a lot to me.....n NED is actually a Government uni , my dad wants me to study there but i don't wanna study there...lets see what happens =)
And dude tell me one more thing , i haven't studied computer science before , i mean that i haven't BASICS of CS yet , so does that matter ?? or i'll have to study the basics first ??

No man.It doesn't matter whether you have studied the basics before or not.Neither in BCS,nor in software eng.

You should go for Software Engineering, it has more demand in local as well as international market.
As far as the universities are concerned, you can choose between GIKI and FAST. GIKI has two disciplines of CS, Computer Software Engineering and Computer Systems Engineering.
Plus where ever you'll go, they will definitely teach you from the very basics and of course you have to work hard but I can recommend you a book, if you are willing to study it by yourself as it contains the basics of programming. It is "Let Us C" by Yashwant Kantekar. Do consult this book, it will build your basic concepts of programming and then after you join any university you can polish those concepts. Good Luck !

BCS and Software are the same thing but different names. Like synonyms. Just a way to earn more by the universities. You'll be a developer or a quality assurer by the end.

Salary is mix. Companies want developers, now they can be either a BCS or a Software Engineer.

And about the fields, well it depends what you want to be. All these fields are one of the top paid jobs throughout the world.

Choose wisely, and select on the basis of what you want to be, not how much salary is being offered nowadays.

First of all they both r linked with each other and almost the same..as myself doing the software engineer will definetly ask you for software coz it gives u more facilities to enchance and develope more thngs but atlast decides is yours...best of luck!!!
