Why don't we follow traffic rules ?

Because its cooler to not follow them. Think of it, you wouldn't want your friends to think you STOP at a red light when theres no traffic!

lolz. I only remember of driving once in Pakistan and tobah - that was enough of an adventure. :p People just seem to cross roads whenever they feel like - so it's about either you stop your car or they stop themselves on time - which is way tooooo risky! Oh, this reminds me, Pakistan should probably use more of 'zebra crossings'. :)

Majority of people dont even know that they have to stop before zebra crossings (on signals) ... Ah! and you forgot the major adventure part .... motor bikes all around you ...

Don't know about other cities, but in Islamabad theres a fine for not wearing the seatbelt (and its properly enforced)

This rule is only for the driver or everyone who are sitting in the car? Like here is KSA, its only compulsory for the driver, but I sorta dun agree there, It should be a PROPER rule to fasten seat belts for everyone who are in the car.

Implementation of law is the key, Asians in London or any other city for that matter behave a law abiding citizen only for the fear of fine or Punishment! Punish them and you'll see all abiding the rules.

@Aaquib bro my czn works in motorway police one day he fine to a girl due to over speed our speed limit is 120/km and she was driving 270/km he asked do you know the rules? she replied yes i know very well i have B.M.W and do u think officer this car is for 120/km. she payed the fine and said Have a nice day. :-) Take Care. :D :D

I think we only follow rules where they are monitored strictly. Like people DO follow traffic rules in Islamabad but as soon as they enter pindi, they forget all rules.

Yupz they do and very strictly and Nabeha if u compare the traffic of Pindi to as it was some 3-4 years ago, it is much much better now... new wardens are doing good job..!

People dont follow traffic rules mainly because they are lazy. They always want to find the shortcut to everything, especially pedestrians who don't walk on the pedestrian lane. :)

They don't follow traffic rules because they are restless. They don't have patience. What I say is that the traffic rules should be followed. :)

Because we think that we are in hurry and obeying rules will slow us down. Its also because of ignorance as many of us don't know the importance of following rules and we also lack discipline that's why there are so many traffic blocks.

Just look at almost any queue, even there people tend to be impatient. We generally follow the rule of not following any rule. After all, it's an 'azaad mulk'. Interesting enough to see the same people who break the rules in their country, following those very eagerly in other countries for reasons they know best.

Traffic rules ? we dun follow any kinda rules .. sad ! I have heard ppl saying, "apna" mulk hay .. kher hay".
Plus the police is corrupt there, You know you will not get a challan / fines even if you dun follow the rules, just give some money and you are free.

They don't follow because they feel good in breaking the rules... they feel proud of themselves when they break a signal or do any other violation.... they feel like they are flying a plane not a car so they do overspeeding, which causes so many accidents... !!
