Why overseas Pakistanis can't participate in voting?

Is it fair? =/ millions of Pakistanis are living abroad and their contribution in economy is huge but when it comes to voting and electing a government, we have to fly to Pk and cast our votes, which is impossible at times, or is there a way which I'm not aware of?

Do other countries give the voting right to their overseas people unlike Pakistan?

Yeah! I believe this is pretty fair. You must see it the other way too, if you have to fly all over to Pakistan to cast vote, then you fly back all over to where you came from. People living abroad don’t face the conditions of the country like we have now, overseas Pakistanis are not affected by certain things like inflation, economic flaws, energy crisis etc.

I din't mean to say that Zainab. I'm just talking in particular with participation in 'Voting'.
And my point of view to say that this is 'fair', is keeping in mind the rules and regulations that 'should' be followed in Pakistan. But unfortunately we don't follow them here. You would not believe but it true that even dead people's votes are being casted in elections. And how that happens, I think you are well aware of that.. :S

Yea I got it now, well, having a political background, I'm aware of that. :) But I never let anyone use my vote against my will.
We do have this attitude where we say, "humay kiya hay, hum konsa wahan rehtay hay" and I think the reason behind it is the same, We haven't given a chance to elect the govt but then we feel bad watching Pk in crisis.

How'd you know that your vote being casted here or not? The whole process is not clean at all... transparent ballot boxes is not a solution... Problem is that the people who are supposed to bring in a solution are problem 'themselves'...

They can if they are register Voters; If they wanna participate, ask their family members here to make them registered in the Voting lists; and they can visit in election to vote!!

I know that but its always not possible to visit Pakistan during that period.

If you really feel for Pakistan and its betterment, and you think your one vote can play a part than you must visit and cast your vote!!
