Why are certain things difficult to convey over a phone call or in a direct encounter but easy to say in a text message or an email?

Are those things embarrassing or forbidden to tell otherwise?

actually I dont, its just that a friend posted it as his fb status and although I responded the way I thought it goes but i wanted to know what others think.

I wud say facial/ vocal expressions are what count.. they say it all, you cant hide or pretend them, ofcourse those things that we dun wanna say in a direct encounter has something with them which we cant/ dun wanna face and we better say them through text pr emails, It cud be anything joy, fear or even a "good bye' like I cant say good byes, I get emotional when I have to, so mostly write them.

coz u r not sure about the response .. and it is easy to tell anything in sms or call ... !

Because it is difficult to hide emotions in phone call and in direct meeting.. Emotions also create other problems like nervousness etc thus some things are best to be said on text messages or email. But the impact is more lasting when u talk with person directly
