Can voting make graphical interface of JawabPk appealing?

Well Haroon, I think we had discussed this before too :)
This design for Jawab was volunteered by an ex-colleague http://jawab.pk/user/tahramzan - He's a senior designer at a company in Islamabad. And from what I think, its pretty elegant and serves the purpose and I'm very thankful to him for creating this. One of the philosophies in the development of Jawab was inspired by 37 Signals and that was to keep things as simple as possible and the current interface succeeds in that to some extent.

I understand the current audience of Jawab is mostly young folks but I plan to bring in more Pakistanis of all age groups. For that purpose a design like this will suffice for now and I'm spending my limited resources more on adding features. Jawab's success depends more on creating an environment that would facilitate helping each other. :)

100%! I'm with it, make it more appealing to the youth especially Myself, Naveed etc... :P

Hmm, what is wrong with the current one? Geesh, please please don't turn it into butterflies, cars type - I might stop coming then :p

No seriously, I think the current jawab has a very elegant layout and it is supposed to appeal everyone - people of all age groups* - so, it shall be somewhat 'neutral'.

* I assume the age of 'current jawabian population' lies somewhere between 18-25, but lets not forget the purpose of jawab.pk :)

What does 'appealing the youth' mean? How do you want to achieve it? Any particular ideas?

I love current looks of jawab but I will like to have few more options like poking/nudging and messaging other users. These things will definitely appeal more to teens. And I feel like Logo could be more attractive, except for that there is nothing wrong with the looks as it was suppose to be elegant :)

Hey, I like it to be discussed here, while suggestions for designs should be open and fully accepted if these are negotiable and are fully routed through user experience point to view. In start, Usama and me worked on it and come through with the elegant and simple design. Infact we dont want to be more late in projecting it well. Atlast we came through with this color scheme and formating style. I really like that.

Most important part - it gives you kewl look. and such kind of website's design shouldn't be cut off in the middle, means it has a flow of information which user easily read and never hesitate to scroll down even it has hundred of comments in it. That is real achievement that user and reader shouldn't stop at first half of the page, ones must scroll down and read from wherever ones want to read.

Usama has techincally worked on its features and I personally like that, they are really good to see such info like time and date feature when cursor rolls over that part.

Personally, I feel that we should use warm colors to make it more attractive and sharp indeed so that sites design, its look and feel become more bold and strong. Question and Answering part with intended comments are very fine though.

Oh, after reading the other answers, now I have understood the question well. You are asking to vote to check if Jawab.pk's interface should be changed or not? right!! Well, I am comfortable with what it is right now, simple and elegant, but there can be an option like, switch to other interface, for those who do not like this interface, like two skins/interfaces etc. May be.

Well the current design is no doubt 'elegant', but if you ask to make it more 'appealing', and majority agrees on it, then more features Should be added. And 'appealing' here I think should not be taken as appealing for youth only, not all older people are necessarily stodgy:)
