How can we save our country from Air Pollution ?

Some points that I have in my mind.. I cud be wrong
Responsible ppl shud not build factories near by a city ( Personal experience, my maternal has some factories near their home and I immediately get throat infection when I be there.
Don’t through garbage on streets or grounds ( We mostly see this practice in PAK )
Less driving cars, We can use bicycle specially when you are talking abt Karachi like in neitherland bicycling is so common and useful that they have made separate tracks for riders.
Use electricity only when needed (this can also save us from loadshedding)
Plant more trees, dun cut thm, at least in our houses.

What I'd like to see in Pakistan is the use of public transports. Just thinking about those days when Karachi actually had a tram line, fascinates me. Due to population growth, long distances, unreliable electricity as well as security issues, it probably would not be easy to implement it. I just don't want us to end up being in a similar situation like China was last year (traffic chaos). Perhaps, there should be a regulation as in how many cars/motor bikes etc. a family can have. What Dubai is trying to achieve with it's metro line is amazing as well, we could try doing something similar as well?

We could set a minimum amount of plants per square meter for all those who have any property and thereby sort of make them plant?

Looking forward to reading other ideas.

well CDA in Islamabad is doing a wonderful job, they plant 1000 of trees every spring, and i think its the only way to reduce pollution. and people also have the responsibility to maintain their cars.

We must try to manage our travelling needs in a way like if you're going to the place where your friend or father or whoever is also going, then you must take out only one car. It should not be like you have your own car and sitting in the same office where your father is and your father is also having another car. Try to minimize the use of your vehicle is the best way to decrease the air pollution.

I guess there is an air emission monitoring organization or something. Limit certain factory emissions to a particular concentration, especially of greenhouse gases. Smoke belching as well should be watched out. I remember we had this smoke belching act before and everyone can text a number to report plate numbers that spew out black soot. Greenery in public spaces should be strongly encouraged, like in between opposite traffic lanes. Sidewalks too. And in terms of planting trees, I think you can suggest the education department to do an annual tree planting project for students. We did that in science camp yearly at high school.
