Good point. I agree there should be lots of over passes and underpasses instead of blocked signals.

And yeah the big buses, they move on GT roads and highways without considering there are other cars/vehicles as well. They think that as if it is their own road. :P
Munahil Murrieum | 12 years ago
Achaaa, I dun really have that experience of seeing them is Pk, I heard Islo is better when it comes to traffic ?
Zainab Hussain | 12 years ago
Yeah it is much better in Islamabad, but traffic does get blocks there, like sometimes you need to wait a lot at the signals. If there are more underpasses and overpasses, this problem could be solved, I think.

Yeah true that.

Such a nice reply. +1
Car-sharing could be a possible solution as well...and we certainly need other solutions than over and under passes.

Thanks. In Philippines they do this trick to reduce traffic, every particular day of the week a certain number of cars arent allowed to get on the road, like on Monday cars with Licence plates ending at digit 0 or 1 are not to be driven and so on. This not only forces people to travel on public transport or car pool but also reduces 20% of the traffic from roads on any given day.

Really? I had no idea! We can learn so much from others. This is surely something we could implement or try at least. :))
Sumi | 12 years ago
yes, my uncle went there for a training last year, he told me. and yeah that could be a start

Yeah, i agree. And one more thing, there should be proper car parking. Here, mostly roads are jammed because of wrong parking, people simply do not understand :/
Yeah, there should be some proper registration and scheduling of buses and bus drivers, along with taxis as well.
Munahil Murrieum | 12 years ago
Cool! Now, we just need to figure out how to do all this :D
Sumi | 12 years ago
Seriously. Good government is required is required for all this.

So, get few in Pakistan?
P.S. I see you have now moved from Germany to Austria. Enjoy. Vienna is beautiful.
Sumi | 12 years ago
i just came to see my mom, ill be gone by friday.
yeah, vienna is beautiful. too bad i am not fond of travelling and dont have an eye for detail except for the geeky stuff. :P
i just walk around and poke people in various way and see how they respond. it takes these people the whole conversation till they finally ask you where do i come from. an interesting bunch.
if you know any good places do mention em here. i have a whole day tomorrow. till then, ill look on my map. the funny thing here is there are so many place to look at and in such a concentration that when you reach a spot you immediately are captivated by another one accross the block and so on, and thats how i got lost yesterday :P

lolz funny. I could have helped you better if you were in it's neighbouring country (CH). Believe me, there is it's own beauty in getting lost while exploring/discovering (dangerous scenarios ignored :p)
Sumi | 12 years ago
lol @ dangerous scenarios. i did find myself in a particular dangerous area in frankfurt just outside the main train station. but such things in vienna are pretty camouflaged.
if i ever find myself going to swiss land.. i might hit you up on this site. coz locals know about stuff the maps wont tell you about.

:) feel free to do so. It at least still looks like you had/are having a good time. So have fun!
