How to get jobs in Pakistan? What are the platforms available? Why don't we have the recruiters culture available here?
What does a fresh graduate do if he is not being hired from university? Is it easy or is it hard? Thoughts please?

Getting job requires following things:-
- Good academic results ( Yes, CGPA still matters)
-Sound personality
- Relevant experience
- Confidence & Knowledge about surroundings
-References or sources (quite important in our culture)
- and in the end Luck :)
If you are fresh graduate then you should firstly have positive attitude, stop worrying too much about getting job as that will not help you instead it will make you nervous. Apply both online and directly to companies. Don't show them that you are desperate to get job but non serious behavior must be avoided. It is not at all easy to get job nowadays so don't take anything lightly. Weight all the options and dont settle for something you don't deserve

A lot of people are doing the efforts these days to make some portals like www.risk.pk and a lot more. They have their facebook pages and I wonder if they are actually doing some thing for jobless people.

Yes I know. These are helpful too but most of them are just waste of time. You should look into tribune's sunday newspaper,pakvacancy.com and Rozee.pk. Also tell your uni admin to forward you all the job opportunities they got to know.

"University admin forwarding jobs to students" is a trick which never worked and which will never work. By the way I dont need a job as I am already working for 4 years now. It's just that a question came to my mind when I observed people around me so I asked.
I wonder if these websites like risk.pk, rozee.pk, pakvacancy.com ever worked for anyone?

Yeah they do .. I got my internship in HBL through these. Plus I once met HR manager of Telenor and he said that they announce job vacancy on rozee.pk first, our HR maim also told us that but the chances of your cv getting ignored on websites are really high.
Btw I have just graduated and I will start looking for jobs next month.

Congratz! - Good luck with finding a job. I still believe if you are talented, finding a job is a piece of cake for you. Its more like if you are talented, companies are actually looking for you.
Since you are about to find a job, glad that you have done your home work already and are well prepared.

Study really really hard, get a good degree from a good university, and the jobs will come following you.

LOl. in theory yes. In gENERAL: sifarish gets u "good grades" even in "good univeristys" and then gets you job's following daddy's sifarish. :)

ummm, I'd say Merit is still honored at most places. I am an engineer been through all the academics and profession picking stuff yet I cant really point at an incident where I saw a really deserving person didnt get the job. Exceptions are always there, its just that "Halaat itnay ziada bhi kahrab nahi hain"

Sifarish is for loosers actually... Merit is really honoured in good organizations and MNC's... (of course I'm not referring to Govt. jobs)... So those who have self-confidence, talent and required skills, they do get jobs... Sooner or later, buh it does come without any sifarish.. :))

Guys, i was talking about the way things work not the way they should .LOOk at the top universitie sof isb , nust fast etc , 30% maximum are students on merit the rest is all generals k sifarishi bachay.

cuz i know pll with that lifestyle ,.eg : a gurl who'd barely manage to do her alevls , got into 2 unis on the basis of sirfarish and "charm". also decided uni wasn't for her and got an opportunity to work in the UN @ 60 k :). NIl credintials. many many more such cases. yes deserving ppl do find the jobs , but not enough of them and not before they turn to other stuff.

There are number of websites giving this service. Rozee.pk is on the top. Well if you have a strong reference, your job is 100% then. :D

as for me, i didnt sign my contract when i got the job straight out of uni... i left the country fearing stale job environment

well ask your contacts to get a job for you rozee.pk or other are just time wasting sort of things your cv will not even viewed on such sites and merely 1% people might be able to find a job on such sites. This is Pakistan guys

Impossible without MNa Or MPA Reference in Pakistan. No Opportunity for Training. Job is far away,there's no training or internship opportunity. I am also waiting for a job from 4 years.

There is another job platform recently introduced in Pakistan market is http://www.betterjobspk.com/ It's a job portal although very new but it connect talent looking to switch jobs at better organization to Employers.
