Is it a bad thing / sin to cut nails at night?

It is a common misconception in many families but it is more of a traditional thing than Islamic. No its not a sin to trim nails at anytime in a day. The only time when its forbidden is when a person is in Ihram for Hajj or Umarah..

hehehe.. thats funny... cutting nails at night is haunting.. lol
there is no such thing as haunting... when i was a kid, I used to be afraid of the dark my fear was eliminated when me father convinced me that the ghosts were afraid of me so therefore it should be absurd to have it the other way round :P
and as far as sin is concerned, i dont see it that way. but if somebody has a point, let him convey his message with proof. otherwise i consider it blasphemous to consider it as such. :/

here is some afghani superstition:
"It is bad luck to cut your nails at night. Some say hunger and poverty will enter a house if someone cuts their nails at night. Also, it is bad luck to cut your toe nails and finger nails on the same day. Others say that it is bad luck to cut your nails at night, as well as cutting both finger and toe nails right after each other because you will always have all happy events in your life happen at the same time that sad things happen to you...In other words your life will always be bittersweet."

And it definitely is a bad thing if someone's sleeping next to you and you are making those clicking noises of the nail clipper :p
I think this is a ridiculous superstition and nothing more

there is no issue to cut nails in night time ... its just cutting nails on Friday is considered good coz it will become the part of preparation for Friday Prayers ... :)

and also drinking water during daylight is bad...VERY bad. you could get yourself into some serious trouble.
oh and how could i forget, never, and i repeat, NEVER eat anything before 10 pm. or the supernatural forces of the universe will destroy you!
