I think they dun have money to waste on such things now, it is actually better but people are also getting awareness about these so called "Islamic festivals" through T.V and Media.
As far as the Basant is concerned.. I guess its banned.

Its combination of all... Ppl are now wise... Children have other more important things to do... Thanks to facebook, twitter, cellphones, games, etc etc etc.... They don't have time for such activities, seriouslyyy! :P
Firstly, I see our so-called enlightened media the biggest culprit for this outbreak; young cohort of Pakistan follows this Media blindly and as a result we tend to follow what’s not meant for us.
