What do you think 'Dreams' mean?

I need to know both your opinion and Islamic interpretation of dreams. Should we talk them seriously or they are just something from our subconscious?

i dont know about islamic interpretations much... but i have a feeling we have a tendency to go too far even if it has any islamic basis in 'normal' mortals like me. so i keep dreams to a side and dont let it influence my decisions.

for me dreams are running of a simulated environment which my brain subconsciously enacts. the thing is, i am not good at story writing, but my dreams really have a dramatic ending so much so that it doesnt appear to be the work of my imagination :|

scientifically speaking, in a normal sleep, we dream more than 10 times, but forget them... the things we call dream are the ones which we somehow happen to remember. sometimes you might have had a feeling after waking up that you had a dream but the details were foggy.

it has been a long time since i had one... i kinda miss it :/

Lol these questions have been asked many times before and have been answered and explained by doctors with deeper knowledge of the subject in as much detail as possible all around the world. Why not just look that up?

This site's not just meant for questions with "defined" answers. And even besides that not everyone believes what the "doctors" says. There are spiritual/religious reasons for some things too :) I believe that is the reason she asked this question here so she could know what fellow Pakistanis think

@CALIPH and if I say I take jawab as a conduct towards betterment of the mental approach,if I say I take it as it can work for everyone to be a DOCTOR,and likewise I say it invites more and more nation fellows to read themselves out and write themselves too,this is really gonna help know google and yahoo answers dont but jawab does specify it needs probs n solns about Pakistan.And tell you what,if only what the doctors say matters then we better zip up.We would have to stop relying on exotic discussion forums and produce our own if we dont want to assume anything which can tag us as a failed nation.

Lol. @Usama Doctor's don't just give "defined" answers such as the one we are commenting on. And your saying some things have a spiritual and religious aspect as if doctors are unaware of that. LOL! And even so, If your looking for spiritual/Religious reasons on the matter then you may look up what religious scholars have to say about that, they can and have given better answer with quotations from the Holy Quran on the matter. And I know those of u who are saying whatever you are about dreams, you yourself are looking up information on the internet first and then giving your answers here. Its quite obvious.

@Haroon Dude, u need to lighten up. I didn't say you HAVE to follow what doctors say but what is explained to you logically with reasons is more acceptable and understandable then just simple definitions of two or three lines. LOL

DREAMS are succession of images,idea and emotions we had in our daily life...it is natural process...according to science smokers dream more and even blind people also dream....Dreams are fun aspect of our live...

yeah a little bit....coz due to tobbaco..the brain becomes active and the image print remain for long ....i jst gve a speech in my mass com. course abt dreams so i remb. it from there but for info. just google it
