What is love actually? How can some people be so crazy about when they are in love? :S

I'm also confused about this "love" and trying to find the real meaning of it but lemme try..

Love is an emotion that feel for someone or something, you feel it for a person you have trust on, makes you happy, appreciates you and be there for you through thick and thin, for example,
Your mother, she is considered to be the most purest form of love.
Father, he makes you feel comfortable with a sense of protection.
Family/friends they appreciate you, support you.
Someone special, yes we do all want this "someone special" in our lifes, there is point in life when you want someone other than your parents, family and friends to be there for you.

Coming to the question, I think by love here your meant the love people feel for a person these days, and they go crazy after that right? but i dun knw what kinda craziness you'r talking about: P well craziness has different levels, if its really a love then it gonna stay forever, doesn't matter that person is there to not, doesn't matter that thing is there or not. you keep loving on, you keep living on, that is love, I know it's a bit crazy thought, see you cant be hard or harsh just bcz you dun get your love, for example, people lost their parents but do that stop loving them? No, I knw there is a difference between love of a parent and love of "someone special" but if the feeling is pure then there is no difference yea the needs are but not the feeling.

the only form of love I cudn't understand yet is the love of a mum for her kid, I dun knw how a human can love an other human so much, its beyond me: )

P.S: Love is something which is VERY deep but if you ask me to sum up this post in one sentence, I wud say, "Love is a pure emotion, that gives you a lot of happiness, smiles, trust and a life worth living"

Dear Maniha, just like almost any kind of feeling, love too has different stages and 'faces'. For example:

- Allah loves His servants. He is always there for them.

- Parents love their children. They see their child's needs, pain and are there to wipe away his/her tears when others don't. They care.

- The way our grandparents love us or the royal treatment we get for being the youngest most.

- You often hear people saying: "Oh, I love my cat. I love my cell. I love my teddy. I love this show, I love my friends, I love books ....etc." and you often see these people being possessive and crazy about their things. "It's my teddy - don't touch it" or less crazy: "It's mine, but you can have a look at it." :p It simply shows their affection; what they feel for a certain something/someone for reasons they themselves best know.

Basically, we define what love is according to what we feel and perhaps, everyone of us might have his/her own
definition. Some see in it beauty and some misery - well, it could be a deadly combination of both. As you will grow older, you will come to learn and understand the different kinds of "love" that exist.

I think Sumi explained it all and i would like to add more to the Craziness bit!

The love which is asked for in this question is no different than its any other form, what feelings we have for the person we love actually depend on the relationship we have with him/her.

About the craziness, well that's all excitement, which comes from of a strong Sense of Insecurity and the Discovery of New Feelings!!

We love our parents and siblings yet we are not that excited as if a guy/girl would be for their spouse or girl boy friend. Why ! Because we have parents and siblings right from our childhood and we believe no matter what happens they will stay with us through their whole lives.

But when it comes to a couple (either a girl boy friend, fiances or a newly married couple) they are all a lot excited about each other than the couples with a marriage of few years.

Which doesn't mean that the old married couple love each other any lesser than the others instead they have even more stronger relation and understanding. Which can be said as transformation of new love to a strong/mature love, where the need to express love isn't required as much as before.

Like Data transfer through Bluetooth than a Wire! :D

And the last thing, No matter how good or excited love in any other form of it might feel, don't forget No One can love us More than Allah!!!

I think love is something which completes you like how you feel incomplete without your parents,family and even friends. You need to have a feeling that you own someone when you love him/her that is when you understand and accepts someone with even his flaws. Like the way you feel like punching others who say something wrong about your friends even when its true .. In short Love is special feeling which you get when someone makes you feel happy and care for you more than you care for yourself :)

Let me see. Love is something that happens when you like what you know about a person after being familiar with him/her. And that's not just an ordinary liking. That liking is almost irreversible because you learn to be blind of the flaws and you actually look after the person. I know that's an understatement and a rather cold way to say it. As for people who go crazy for love... Haha. :)

For romantic love, it's sheer excitement. Often the experience is caused by knowing that you have someone who feels the same way you do without the overfamiliarity of family. And there is also a certain authority we bestow with family that limits us from telling them our deepest emotions and dreams the way we want it. This is where the lover comes in. He lets his guard down. He engages you and you open up to him, because it's so easy to do so. Often I owe that to how the lover is of the same circle of experience that you are experiencing (generation-wise). He sorts of mimics you in a way, reflects back to you who you are.

Nothing beats the human touch. You feel instantly relieved when your mom holds you. You feel electricity when your spouse holds you. You feel secured. You feel no one and nothing can put you down because there are people who believe you can be who you want to be and they won't hurt you.

love is crap and people react wired when they are in it:)

to care and to respect is love for me, these two are the key elements of any relationship.
