What is the average age of a person to finish his/her studies?

Hmm...but then how long is a Bachelor/Master degree generally?

Different programs have different duration .... U asked about average ...

Bachelors usually takes between 2 to 4 years and a Masters degree takes 1 to 2 years.

:) System here is quite different anyway. Most of my classmates were 20/21 when they started with Bachelors. I just find it amazing how much difference there is.

yeah.. i am about to end with my masters and a couple of guys with me on the project at job are my age but in 4th sem bachelors... their skill level is way more than what was mine at that stage.
its because they do 13 years education before going for bachelors while we do 12. plus there is somekind of mandatory draft which takes 2 more years i guess.

hehe... this is the part many don't quite understand. There is this year of birth and month of birth system according to which you are expected to start your schooling. Back in my days (geesh, that sounds like generations back :p), the grades you got in your primary school (5th/6th grade) directed your future path more or less as you were put in a certain kind of school (difficult to less difficult). Not many make it straight to the best school, but that was the only known way to get into university (I assume there are different methods now). Thus, combining these both factors (age criteria and difficult path), many are around 20 when they finish high school (whereas many in Pakistan finish their Bachelors at that age). As for university - I guess, people prefer to take a break, experience, discover the world in their own ways, figure out what they want to study and then start. Many start with something and realize that it does not suite them and they change again....etc. At uni, I had students younger than me, those of my age, those in late 30s-60+. :)

it still happens.. grades in early school determines your future.. my problem with it is. i was 25th out of 50 in 8th grade, a nalaik bacha :P
4th in 10th grade.. and ended it with being 1st in 12th grade. had i been in germany, i would have made it to a plumbing school or somefin.

i always try to imagine what would have happened to me in different situations. and in the real world, i seem to surpass them all :D

:) Well be thankful to Allah. I am glad there is at least one person who understands this system and knows that it is common here that people graduate later than most people in Pakistan. :p
