Why human is in pursuit of becoming God in presence of Allah(The Creator of whole Creations) ?

Naveed Javed | 13 years ago

I always get muddled seeing the technological advancement nowadays, the upsurge in medicinal industry and sometimes the attitude of some humans; and the question always pops up in my mind. Could you people please share your worthy thoughts on this? Thanks

let me post in a real story that happened a few days ago in a meeting:

Person1: I want you all to give me a timeframe in which you think, in your limited capacity, that the tasks you have at hand will be completed..

(pause)

Person1 : (continuing)... i know things never go as planned. GOD knows what problems lie ahead.. (thinks for a moment and then points to MaXes).. or "Alaa"(Allah) in your case.

Person2 (a hari krishna type hippie guy raising hand): errrmmm Ganesh??

Person1: who knows, maybe its Buddha

MaXes: I can argue there is nothing up there and maybe its the Karma controlling.

Person3 (getting annoyed): i guess whoever is up there, or isnt there, probably wont do this project for us. So lets get back to the discussion.

"i am sorry" is not just because its a personal question... it has become an awkward question.. when someone inadvertently utters God, the atmosphere is filled with awkwardness. i have not seen a single young non muslim or non hindu person here who says he belongs to a particular religious denomination.
me my neighbour and my neighbouress (3 people in the flat) were cleaning our flat for the first time, the girl found a copy of the new testament which probably was given to a previous person living here by the missionaries who visit flats. she asked me if i need it, i said no. she repeated the question with my neighbour.. upon a negative answer, she threw it in the waste basket.

I wouldnt agree with "it has become an awkward question". Fine, theres an increasing number of Atheists for whom the concept of God is an ancient ancient thing but theres nothing awkward in accepting yourself and your beliefs and the next person along with his beliefs whether he believes in 1 God or cows or snakes or fire. I'm sure no one would feel "awkward" even if hes a convinced Atheist if he's open minded enough to accept that people have all sorts of beliefs.

I am talking about the norms of a culture... just like its awkward in our society to ask if one believes.. its the opposite here. nobody minds anything if one is religious, but the question itself is often avoided. ive heard people in the west of germany are more religious, but here in this small town.. its different.
