Why people have started to rely more on horoscope readings, fortune tellers rather than their own selves?

hehehe... i am pretty vocal about this stuff... and i tend to wait sometimes that someone will say how true their horoscope is.. then! i joyfully point my cannons towards the person and, like a hungry hound, obliterate him to his last dignity. and all that in a fun fun educating way...

nature by itself is pretty random. we as humans try to find patterns that might make it under our control.. thats the reason ancient egyptians used to sacrifice a human life so that the nile would flood and bring in rich soil for cultivation of crops next year. believing in superstitions is also similar.

what i find problamatic with superstition is, that while debunking it, someone might ask me that the religion i believe in seems to be a similar superstition in light of the the arguments which i generally present against these things. i really dont have an answer there, but till now, nobody has poked me in that matter.

Reasons are :-
- Illiteracy (which doesn't mean less education)
- Low faith on destiny or Religion
- To get the Power to control their lives
- Curiosity
- Shortcut (like Naveed said).. Shortcut in getting to know the future happenings and work accordingly
- Last is latest trend, doing it only because everyone else is doing it

Simple, We have stopped believing in Allah and has stopped "relying" in him, See why do we read our horoscope, go to the palmists or astrologers because we want to know about our future but Allah is the only one who has planed and seen the future. Btw it's forbidden in Islam

I think if you believe in Allah and gave urself to Him fully as in to rely on Him completely then you dun need anything else: )

Work shirking,lenience in every field of our life.
This lenience brings us to a point when highly learned people do silly things around http://goo.gl/m7L3d such people.The most pathetic part of it is,Chief Editors of our journals the respectable personalities cover up the thing in "HydePark" saying "Policy" hinders us to change the pattern.I read it mentioned somewhere that when a nation transgresses,ALLAH lets them do it,provides other things making the process easier,as a result Nations like Jews wreck.ALLAH guide us!

they just want to believe .. there are some who relates it to themselves .. i have a very good friend on mine and she was so obsessed with horoscope that she use to read it every morning and if says that u will fight with someone today ... she did not use to talk that day with me and other friends ..so that she wont fight with us ... !
