How's the night life of Islamabad?

So, how fun it can be? like is it safe to go out after 12am like lahore and karachi? till what time the shops remain open? etc

Night life in Pakistan?? You serious? O_o
Well I can't really say much here, since I don't go out after 12 AM in Pakistan. For all I know, it just isn't safe out there. ESPECIALLY in Lahore and especially especially in Karachi (for fear of being mugged or killed for fun etc) So I'd rather stay home and spend quality time with cousins or friends staying over, playing cards or watching a horror flick and chomping down on snacks :D

I've heard so far that the shops in Isb & Rwp have been instructed to remain open till 8 PM only :o No idea to what extent this law has been implemented so far...

Actually the thing is... In Lahore, you have endless varieties of stuff that you can buy, and shops stay open till late at night. Same goes for Karachi, plus they have the beach too. Islamabad ain't bad, but it sure can offer you lots of greenery and picturesque scenery to please the eye :)

The best thing about Islamabad is its peaceful nights.There is no security issue at night.Just it isn't in the taste of Islamabadis to hang out till late night.Though there are many shopping malls that do remain open till late night,yet most Islamabadis prefer to come back home upto 11 p.m.That's why the nights are amazing here.Full of peace plus cool breeze atmosphere fills the nights of Islamabad.The traffic also remains low in nights.

There was no security issue before but now its like any other city in Pakistan :(

Life in Islamabad is full of its charms.. Usually people prefer to go out after the sunset.. When i go out wid my friends, i usually come earlier because of the timing restrictions(10pm-5am) in our hostel. I think 7-11pm are the peak hours in Islamabad. There are some students who use to wander in islamabad the whole night during weekends and its quite safe there. The markets close late at night and i think you can find any thing you want after 12am upto 2-3am because after 1am shops start closing.
And if you've got company, there's so much fun. The environment here is totally different from Lahore and Karachi.

its so boring no fun ,no hangout ....so lonely and boring but at lahore and karachi its a blast ....and it is save ..if u really wana have fun at nite ,shops are almost open till late at nite...

In simple words... 'Boring'... ;-) ... Buh agree with Ahmad that nights are peaceful, atleast you can go out for drives without any threat of being ''killed''. :-)) ISLAMABAD ROCKSSSS<3

Well I will agree with everyone else. There is NO nightlife in Islamabad. People here don't like to hang out after 11 max which is reallllly boring. But the good thing is environment, if you have some friends etc to have fun with then you can always enjoy peaceful night walks etc

Its mostly dark. Specially considering the current state of loadshedding. and we cant really afford a lot of street lamps either. There is some light when theres a full moon but thats very rare coz its mostly cloudy anyway. Thats the only Night Life of Islamabad that I know of :p Apparently stray dogs rule the streets at night, not to mention day time is also marked by the rule of a creature most people refer to as a Dog but I never called anyone a dog. Its the word.
