Is the present day world good anymore for travel?

No, sadly its not :( Even though we have high technology now but restrictions have also increased with time.. Unless you have loads of money ofcourse :P

there are restrictions when i see i can no more Hitch Hike being a Pakistani,and Hitch Hike is beauty in a traveller's trip.And NON-Europeans also hold the same sky,they're also willing to travel by the way,and i am not a British or an American or Norwegian ; )

i dunno.. yesterday an argentinian in a tourist student hostel room speculated that i was from argentina. sometimes i am mistaken for a turk or an arab.... if you have a problem hitchhiking being a pakistani... tell them you are pakistani AFTER you get on the car. mostly pakistanis dont look like pakistanis. well atleast the world is confused how pakistanis actually look like because they have yet to figure out that there is no such thing as ethnically pakistan but infact we are a funny mix :D

why dont you try it and then speculate.. i have encountered only amazement when people come to know where i am from.. possibly because they havent seen much paksitanis. its eastern germany.

If you are talking about travelling with in Pakistan, It is a bit difficult now, the main problem is security, You never know what will happen where. I was listening to ths guy on Tv, he said, I went to northern areas with my friends (only) after the 10th exams, It s probably early 90s but now I cant think to send my child alone, I think twice before sending him to the nearest shop. It's sad. But people do plan things out n go on traveling, if they have money ofcourse : )

Yea Zainab i totally agree with because of security problems specially families... buh still alot of people do travel to northern areas,aJK, and gilgit baltistan side...Situation is not as bad as the image has been created in our minds...
I maself along with my office collegues going on a 4-day camping trip to naran/kaghan and gird o nawaaah nxt saturday... Yupieeeee... Full time adventure... :P and as for security is concerned, I must say 'who cares' when Allah is there! :)

thumzZzup; ) exactly sometimes we are mistaken about security threats,it is just what we want to accept apart from the facts.My brother came back last week from AJK and talked amusingly only about the tour itself without any security concerns.

yeah dats the fact... and where we are going, alot of tourists go there widout having any concern of security... coz these places are secure... ! Where we hav security threats, seriously those place are not vacational spots :P c'mon nobody wud like to go to waziristan and have a bonfire there with baloch dancing nd barbeque... lolzzz...
